Just paid for my E. Aflame plant and the seller has a cryptocoryne Bucephalandra sp. 'wavy' for sale.
Does anyone know about this plant’s growing conditions? How hard is it to grow? Can it be grown submersed or is it best emersed? Can it be grown with other crypts? I know some put out chemicals to reduce the growth competition from other crypts. My C. nurii that I got from Ghazanfar looks beautiful and it would be placed in the same aquarium.
I’m assuming that this may be a plant that is best for those in the group who have expertise in growing crypts but it is tempting.
Thank you for any thoughts.
Doug

Doug;
Bucephalandra is not a Crypt, but a separate genus of it's own. It's an aroid like Crypts, Lagenandras, and Anubias.
My understanding is that it is a "companion plant" found in the same waters and conditions as the Crypts from Borneo like Crypt. bullosa.
Here's a link to a couple of articles about them.

Here are some pics of the plant in situ. (Click to enlarge.)

The flower look just like an Anubias flower.
Don't know how much your seller is asking for it but I would be interested in growing it.
Cheers.
