Plant ID?

Hi Folks

I did a swapped some stauro with a member whose name I can't recall for another plant that we had been bidding for.

I failed however to get the ID of the plant before leaving.

Could someone ID the light green leafy stem for me?

While planting today I discovered another that was the result of a swap after the auction. I think this might be a hygrophilia?

I ordered a copy of Kasselmann today...

Hygrophilas are stem plants, while bolbitis has a rhizome like an Anubias or Java Fern.

Also like Anubias and Java fern, do not bury the rhizome.

Dave, thanks for the heads up. I'll fix that first thing today.

I tipped my planting bed so that water would drain to one end and form a bit of a puddle and I just let the anubias sit in the puddle. I'll move the bolbitis there as well.

Don't quite know what to do with the fissidens. It's on the edge of the puddle in the original wadded state it came in.

No light on them yet. That will come today. I've got saran wrap over the top to maintain humidity.

You can 'keep' anubias, bolbitis and java ferns in large tupper ware boxes with just a touch of moisture in there. Too moist and they will rot, but if you just keep them a touch above drying out - they'll stay good for a long time. Semi transparent boxes getting diffused light work well. No direct sunlight - you'll fry the plants.

Anything special I should do with the moss? Perhaps the same treatment?
