Possible new plants?

So, I was at my favorite nursery today and came across some plants that were called Baby Tears, and some plants under Alternanthera.

So I was wondering if these could be submersed...Anyone?

What was the scientific name of the baby tears?

That's the thing...the baby tears had three names:
Urticaceae Helxine soleirolil.

Any thoughts?

So I'm going to try an experiment and split the pot that I got. I'm going to grow half emersed and the other half submersed and see what happens.

Oh, I forgot. I found a small pot of Lindernia grandifola. It looks so much like the Lindernia rotundifolia, except that the flower is more purple. I'm going to try to split the plants and grow some emersed and some submersed and see what happens too.

The first one is the family name. It is related to stinging nettle.

The current name is Soleirolia solerolii. It is actually featured in the old Innes aquarium books and should do fine.

L. grandiflora is a relatively slow growing, but easy and proven aquarium plant.

Don't bother with Alternanthera ficoidea.

I'm going to try and grow the baby tears in my shrimp tanks and I'll also submerse the L. grandiflora this week!

No! I shall never divulge the location of my personal stash. Just kidding. I found these at Merrifield Gardens in Fairfax. They have three locations. I haven't been to the Merrifield location, but the Gainesville location has a much nicer selection, including their aquatic plants section. I plan on going to the Gainesville location in a couple of weeks.
