Rotala Ramosior?

Post by ingg »

The APC entry lists it as a big, bright green, long leaved rotala.

What I have is a small, oval leaved, red colored rotala....

I'm pretty sure it is Ramosior, got it from Kris. Are there multiple forms of this plant or something?

I never gave you R. ramosior. I only ever had a couple stems of it, and melted on me before I could pass it around. I want to collect more once it warms up a little bit.

Picture of what you have?

Grrr, I'd SWEAR that was it. Bought it a few months ago, I think at December meeting. Like 2 stems worth. Araguaia possibly? I lost the darn bag and have been guessing at this one ever since...

Looks like a smaller version of that Rotala Sunset - will post a pic up tonight.

You're thinking of Rotala 'Araguaia'.

That'd be it! I swear I'm putting it on tape on the side of the tank - Aaron's told me that name before and for some reason I keep translating it to Ramosior in my head. :(

Thanks guys!
