If you got what Michael B. brought back from Peru, then yep. Who knew a stretched out otocinclus could do such damage?

I got mine from That Pet Place. Yeah, when I first saw it I thought it was just a large otocinclus. So much for judging by appearances.

I know Angels plus sell Pleco safe wood what ever than means but I know one person that uses it and says they love it, I think it's a little bit softer than Manzanita and some others, he also keeps the tank covered with Frog Bit and they eat it until it looks just like your plant and he claims it's their favorite vegetable. I know yours is not a pleco but it could help and most scavengers like subdued lighting too.

I was thinking about getting some Plecos but with only a community tank decided to wait and give them a breeding tank with a environment they would like and I wouldn't care if they abuse it. They are beautiful but have too many nasty habits for a nice planted tank.
