Sadly, no. I did not build them myself...although I had plans in hand to get my dad to bust out the saw. I did a ton of research and wound up finding a pre-made solid wood cabinet that would fit the dimensions I needed and wasn't a gazillion dollars. It's actually a bank of 3 cabinets, the end two will be for tanks with the middle being open for the tv and such.

I am curious now, gonna place a call to see if I can get trim moulding with the same finish I could use to build-in the tanks.

On the felt pads...would never have thought of that. It was my understanding that the bottom support of the tank was crucial on anything larger than, say, 10gal so that the weight was evenly distributed/supported and there was no uneven stress on the glass/structure. We had toyed with the idea of using smaller strips of the lexan to allow some airflow under the tank but I squashed the idea after reading about that support theory. Looks like it hasn't been an issue for you though...interesting.....

I dont have padding under any of my tanks....that being said.....it couldnt hurt to use a mold resistant styrofoam under the tank for vibration issues.....it depends on the fish that you are going to be keeping on whether vibrations will be an issue in their good health
