Driftwood piece

Post by FrannyB »

I found this piece last spring and just now decided to use it. I ran it under hot water and it smells like cedar. Should I use it?

I usually stay away from pine wood, but I'm reading on other boards of its use in planted tanks.

What do you think?

Scrub it with a brush and soak it water if you can, to leach out the trannies, it looks like a big chunk so that may be a little hard

This one may be a boiler. Needs a metal trash can and a propane stove to boil the heck out of it to make it safe to use.
