Maybe Echinodorus "Red Diamond" if it is short.

Re: Plant ID?
My friend thinks that it's Samolus parviflorus. Anyone know that plant? Does it thrive submersed for long term?

Re: Plant ID?
There are some mixed reviews online. Samolus parviflorus seems to grow in the the warm south like Texas and Florida. Samolus valerandi seems to grow in Europe. Apparently it is a slow grower and can be susceptible to algae.

Re: Plant ID?
According to Kasselmann, Samolus parviflorus is a synonym for S. valerandi. It grows slowly and needs intense light, nutrient-rich substrate, and hard water. It tolerates salt very well.

Re: Plant ID?
It's not a very tall plant. It's supposed to be only four inches tall.
