Thanks Kris. Hoping I get some of the others to flower too. Sad part is I have had some crypts since 2003 and not only have they never flowered but for the longest time did not even think about them possibly flowering. Bit of a mental disconnect there as I fully realize that the vast majority of the plants we keep are angiosperms.

Yeah, I've not tried putting crypts outside, but I love throwing various stem plants out in the pond, and seeing their flowers through the summer...

Got a new crypt flowering at the moment. One that I'm very excited about.

C. vietnamensis is a very rare crypt from Vietnam but only 2 or 3 locations. Got this plant from Aaron a few years ago and it has grown well emersed and for the first time is flowering. Also have a C. ponterderifolia flowering now as well. Not sure why the pictures are not right side up but they show correctly when you click on them.
