WTB Cephalanthus occidentalis

Hi all,

I am working towards a native plant focused pond project. One plant that I recently became interested in adding is the common buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis). I'm trying to establish more native plants in my yard to attract pollinators and more local wildlife.
The nursery I was hoping to get it from doesn't carry it anymore. I was hoping someone here either had some or could tell me a place where I could buy it from (locally preferred).

I have it an it's a great plant but I don't have any seedlings. It probably going to be hard to find especially now with Covid. Most of the larger nurseries don't stock it and you do better with some of the native nurseries but they are run by volunteers or have limited hours during normal times. Not sure where you are at but Peppers in Delaware may have it or check out Earth Sanga in VA https://www.earthsangha.org/wpn. There are some native nurseries in MD but can't remember their name. Thank you. I'll look at those places. I'll look online at vendors; but I always prefer to see the plant myself before buying. I was going to get it from Maryland Aquatic Nursery (MAN) and they told me they're not carrying it anymore. Chesapeake Natives is closed until further notice.
I have 2 lizard's tail that I got last year. Also working with Decodon verticillatus, Asclepias incarnata, Menyanthes, and few types of Lobelia. If you get any seedlings, I'll be happy to buy a couple.

Chesapeake Natives is the one I was thinking of. I can't remember where I got mine. My plant list doesn't have a name next to it so I must have bought it. Most likely a native plant sale for some group. I doubt there are any seedlings as its only been in place a couple of years. Ill check.
Nice group of plants there. I only have experience with the milkweed and lobelias. You could look into Iris versicolor. It's a great iris in general and loves water. Eventually when I build out my large pond I plan on having slightly raised pools that will drain into the main pond filled with iris and other emergents. They will make up my filtration system as opposed to sand or bead filters. Tons of great native pollinators for the non pond parts of your yard. Definitely should have some Joe Pye weed, asters, monardas, cone flowers and black eyed Susans to name but a few.
