Staurogyne sp. 'Porta Vehlo' leaves straightening out

I had this great plant in great shape, tank has "Fluorite Red" substrate, High Tech, High light, 6 bulb, 36" T5-HO TEK, and moved it to another tank with "Fluorite Black Sand". Lighting is much more, an 8 bulb, 48" T5-HO Catalina. The leaves have gone from their typical curved form and straightened out! Typically the reverse is what happens when the plants reach for weak light. Any idea what could cause this ? Parameters are the same otherwise.

Unless I'm going crazy (which is entirely possible and likely!!), the "straight" form should be the standard for Low Grow? Unless I'm misunderstanding...

Sometimes it is easy to forget how difficult it was to get info before GWAPA was around.

I don't know what is up with your plant unless it was stressed when you planted it and then recovered to it "normal" form?

IDK. When it was planted, it spread nicely, with leaves curling down. They look alike a scared childs hair. Ill wait a while.
