I hope that wasn't my Coffeeola. I did a 2 minute bleach dip on all my Java Ferns and Anubias from my 29G before the auction because I had some BBA issues, which seems to really have subsided since then. All my plants in the 29G are looking good. My Anubias nana even sprung up 2 flowers. :D

I can't remember who they said supplied the Coffeeola I bid on, but it was definitely clean when I got it, so I think you're in the clear either way! After tonight's thumb wipe and peroxide dip, the "mystery crumbs" will probably be all done and gone - and I'll never know for certain what they were. Conrats on yer nana blooms, BTW.

FINAL UPDATE (I hope!)

The "mystery crumbs" wiped off easily; the leaves were left undamaged and unspotted.

My initial theory about them being graham cracker crumbs would actually seem the most plausible, except that only one other family member is currently home, and she hasn't eaten any graham crackers over the tank ... and, again, that theory also doesn't wash given that the stuff started out only on the anubias, and then spread to the java ferns ... I guess I'll just never know what that stuff was!
