whiteish thing on leaves

Post by ddavila06 »

hey, this im seeing is defenitly not a fungus or a bacteria or anything like that, looks like the leaf is not getting enough something...looks like when the summer leaves start turning brown...somthing like that. i see some areas on some leaves in the anubias and a more spotted pattern on a wentii crypt...any suggestions? i don't dose but with iron, have two home-made yeast CO2s, and flourite substrate in my 120. thanks guys! 8)

Good morning Damian,

I'm not sure what you are seeing, but maybe this article will help you.
There is a handy table of common symptoms due to nutrient deficiencies.
Unfortunately, I only see references to yellow or pale coloration on leaves, not white;
and apparently it makes a difference if it's new growth or old growth.

it seems it can be calcium deficiency that i have, the whiteish thing no clue though but, specially, in my anubias the newer leaves come out not quite as long and somewhat distorted...nice article, thanks
