I use the Flourish line. I have never used the Kent. I really like Seachem. I have never had any trouble and they really support the hobby beyond just making money from it. The owner is at every AGA and has supported the DFW (and maybe GWAPA?) with donations of fertilizers for club fund raising.

I use Flourish and Flourish Fe. I buy KNO3 and KH2PO4 powder online. I think the powders are easier to dose and it's cheaper.

Lots of people are Kent fans too. I just stick with what has worked great for me.

Back to the topic of hair algae...a friend of mine, and avid aquascaper, put peat into his filter for about 2 months and all the hair algae was gone! Not sure why it worked - any thoughts?
