Are they a lot of light, or indirect light?
Have some plugs of haigrass sitting, hate to have to go to waste. Figured I'd do buy a wide goblet or two and see what happens.
Mark - goblets in windows, details?
I forgot to mention, no ferts and no shrimps equal no algae!
If you put shrimp and then feed the shrimp, then you'll get hair algae.
If you just do nothing, chances are you'll get clear water and no algae.
I'm trying something new this year. crypt parva in one and crypt willisii in another goblet bit I'm not sure if indirect light will be adequate for growing crypts.
edit:
I might also add that red root floater does really good in the windowsill, getting red leaves, even with an hour or two of sunlight.

I got a couple of Ikea rectangle vases this I have Crypt, willissii, dwarf riccia, glosso, and Rotala 'Colorata' in. They get a couple of hours of morning sun and have been doing well. Best part is maintenance only takes about a minute once a week. The smaller vases are 4" wide x 3" deep x 5" tall, the taller one is just shy of 9" tall.
Number 2 was at my office with a couple of RCS that became problematic, so it's home for a rescape.
Cheers.
