Trimming Stellata.

I know, wierd question.

I've never had to actually deal with it - I never had enough light over it before to have the lower stems stay healthy.

Just chop it low like a rotala? The stem end will grow new shoots?

I'm planning to chop the stellata and Hygro Angustifolia this weekend, low - try to get them both to bush out.

Yep, just wack it above a node, it takes a little while to rebound though, not as quick as a rotala.

Make sure you do it while the lights are out - don't want to traumatize the
rest of the plants when you do your whacking.

God forbid, the other plants should witness such cruelty. The humanity!
