Pictures for Moss lovers
The moss in a recent pic of Tim's stirred up some discussion about it even though it wasnt the subject of the picture and post. So I thought I would give you moss lovers some more pics

Looks like sphagnum moss to me.

It appears to be a species of Atricum, commonly called Crispy Star Moss.
The first photo looks like an Entodon sp. of some sort.
The second looks like Plagiomnium, possibly cuspidatum, or Saber Tooth Moss.
The fifth Moss is Thiudium delicatulum, Common Fern Moss.
They’re all common terrestrial mosses in the mid-Atlantic.
