Kris' 75G - Taken at Meeting...

Post by krisw »

Here's my 75G tank as it looks at the April meeting. Too bad I didn't take the equipment out of this picture, as I'm otherwise pretty pleased with how it looks. I'm always open to suggestions, however.

Yeah, I kept catching myself starting at your tank man.

You might trim some of the stems in the back a different height. That way it's not quite such a straight line. Does that make sense?

Yeah, that makes sense. I was hoping the broad-leaf stelleta on the left side would have gotten a bit taller to encompass more of the rock than it does in this picture. Thanks for the suggestion!

Trimming should follow the rock outlines - the plants then come up from behind the
rocks retaining a softer version of the rock profile - highlighting the hardscape.

Sounds like something from that 'Masters Trimming Class' we've been waiting for.

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

If you've got bait, I've got wasabi!

I wish I could be like Mr. Sarcastic when I grow up! ;)
