Must deny the urge.....
Should not say it.....
Can't help myself. I'm such a shmuck.
Toldja. (In the nicest way it can be said, as I do feel bad for you. It was a nice scape with potential!)
You are now entering the zone I used to deny I ever would found myself in (It is really kind of funny to look back and think about me denying it now, but deny it I did). Resistance is futile - the scape comes first, livestock is an accessory to a scape! Plucky needs to take a trip!

true, that was a really nice scape...sorry to see that...BUT, you can try and brive the wife and kids and get them a few nice ottos, clown/bushynose/albino/ or someother tipe of pleco instead... there is a guy in PVAS (JT) who breeds the nicest whiptail plecos and brings plenty just about every meeting

Dave-
ROFL! Actually, I think it was Ghazanfar that suggested I set Plucky free in the wild, just not near any water.
Nah, Plucky stays, because I value my marriage and my children's love more than I value my aquascape. Funny how some fish become pets, while others are simply generators of plant nutrients. Alas, Plucky is a pet.
Actually, I take it as a challenge to come up with an aquascape that is both beautiful *and* functional, in that it meets Plucky's needs (hiding spaces for his considerable bulk, and driftwood to chew on) as well as the needs of the Discus (free swimming space and a smooth bottom so they can easily find their food) and Rams (wide-leaved plants on which to spawn), while also being low maintenance and a joy to stare at while having dinner.
The tricky bit will be reworking the scape with Plucky and the corys still in there...
Anyone got some rocks I can buy?
