Updated Pics from GWAPA events?

Post by Silenti etc »

Hi guys,

I was just wondering how Cristy's bowfront we rescaped has come along, and how the display tank Ghazanfar set up at Fins and Feathers. I came across my original pictures from there a week or so ago.

Here's what it looked like the day we did the workshop:

Here's a pic from a month after the meeting. The arrows point to plants that I replaced soon afterward because they didn't do well.

I think Jim took pictures when you all were here this year. I don't have anything more recent.

I added Discus to the tank about a month ago and now I'm working on algae control. I'm pretty sure now that the problem is with phosphates that come from my tap and from the Discus food. I'm still reading 0 nitrates even though the tank is waaaaay overcrowded. I added some phosphate remover to my filter and the plants are growing again. I'm hoping that soon I won't have to pull out a big handfull of algae every other day!

btw, the temp is at 85 and none of the plants have melted.
