Echinodorus 'Kleiner Prinz' emersed flower
Interesting flower. I'm hoping to get some baby plants. Should I cross pollinate a couple of the flowers? I haven't had 2 open at the same time.

Beautiful! Can't hurt to try self-pollination, though I don't know if this species will self-pollinate. Someone more knowledgeable than I will have to express an opinion.

Nice photo, Ben! Not sure on the pollination method...

Maybe they even self pollinate themseves. I will try to pollinate next time there is one open. They are slow to grow and open and then only last a couple days. It makes me think it is a mechanism so that they don't self pollinate. If 2 flowers are not open at the same time, there is less of a chance of self pollination. That doesn't mean it won't work if I'm there with a Q-Tip though.
I'll let you know.

They will grow into plantlets if you leave them alone, cross pollination is a term used for exchanging pollen between plants, not flowers on a plant. Do you have another Echinodoris that is flowering?
