Got some CRS - again. This time I splurged a bit and got some good quality shrimp from a known hobbyist/breeder. No losses - and the shrimp are doing great! Now an infestation of THESE I wouldn't mind

Oh wow. That one is amazing. What grade is it?

I had some before. Not that nice. They didn't breed like crazy like the regular reds. Got any tips on keeping them alive and breeding them?

This is close to S grade. The white needs to fill in more, and there is still a little red on the tail. I've got a few higher grade ones that have better more solid color.

Tips on breeding them - don't have any since I havent bred any yet. Keeping them - lower temps seems to be key. 70-74 is their preferred temp range. Any higher and they start dropping.

Great picture! I was surprised myself today by one of these, as one popped out of the plant growth in my 50G, even after I've been hygrogen peroxiding the heck out of that tank for algae. Hopefully they'll breed for you!
