Food for April meeting
I figured I would go ahead and start this thread a little early, rather than do my regular procrastination.
Note that I will be giving one of the presentations at the April meeting, so I'd really appreciate it if someone else could volunteer to provide a "main dish". I'll bring the GWAPA supplies bucket, so we won't need cups or plates or that kind of stuff. But drinks and snack-like or dessert-like things would be appreciated.
As always remember that we have a (modest) budget for this (which we've done well to stay within), so by all means request reimbursement for your expenses from Ghazanfar.

Thanks, Doug! Note that we already have four 2L bottles of Soda, so don't go overboard there, perhaps two should be sufficient.dougrm3 wrote:Should have read the whole starting post. Scratch the paper goods and make that drinks and chips.
Thanks Arlene! Everyone always loves your desserts!arlene wrote:I can make a steak pasta and dessert.
Thanks, Cristy! Last year, I seem to recall we did chili or something like it in crockpots, and that worked quite well at this location (power outlets easily available). Would something in a crock pot be an option again?cristy wrote:I can bring some food. I'll think about what.
Anyone else interested in picking up or making something? We seem to be a little light on vegetables, so something along those lines would be a good candidate.
And remember folks, we *do* have a budget for this, if you spend money, please ask for reimbursement (this month, ask Viktor, who will be Ghazanfar's doppleganger, since Ghaz can't make it).

A couple of you asked for the recipe for the potato salad I brought. I found it on Epicurious.com - Here. I roasted everything in the oven and used very little oil rather than the 1/4 C the recipe calls for. I also used less lemon. I think it would be interesting to mix in some sweet potato, too.
