Survey...

Post by krisw »

Members, if you missed Viktor's announcement, please do take a couple minutes to fill out this years survey for the club. The new board is meeting next weekend, and will use your feedback to plan for the year:

I just spent about a half hour answering the survey and when I submitted it, it said I did not fill out question 9. When I clicked back, the survey was blank. So I don't know if it went through or not. So don't leave anything blank before submitting your survey. I don't know if all the info I submitted was accepted or not.

Joe
Same thing happened to me. I had left one of the text boxes blank. Had to redo the survey. Second time it went through.

Sorry for the inconvenience guys. Unfortunately, if you got an error message, it wouldn't have gone thru. Joe, what browser were you using? In all of my tests with IE and Firefox, the questions stay populated when you go back, so if you have more info on your browser/operating system, that'll help me troubleshoot.

In the meantime, please answer all questions before submitting, and it should be fine.

Thanks Joe, again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience! I'll see if there's anything else I can do to alleviate the problem in the future...

You shouldn't have to answer all the questions. E.g., some say "If no, please specify why not." so if your answer is yes, you shouldn't have to put anything in the blank.

John, you're correct... I guess I should say that you need to complete the survey before submitting. "If yes" questions are not required if you answer "no."

And most folks haven't had any problems. If you have multiple browsers to choose from, I can almost guarantee that you won't have any problems losing data regardless if you use Firefox. That said, you should be able to complete it in any browser.

I also had problems.

Requiring comment is new I believe... and having it show up as an error and then having to do the entire thing? Oopsie?
