Food for October meeting

Post by chris_todd »

Well, our last regular meeting of the year is next Saturday at Jeff's house, so it's time to put out the call for food.

I know I'll be bringing something (not sure what yet; it will probably depend on what doesn't get covered by other folks)... Who else would be willing and able to bring or make something? Jeff's only request is nothing potentially messy, so please no spaghetti with meatballs or chicken noodle soup. :)

I think everyone pretty much has the hang of this by now, but keep in mind these aren't donations, we do have a modest budget for this, and I believe we've done a good job this year of staying within that budget. So if you spend money to make something, please ask for reimbursement.

I think I'll be making my famous pumpkin cake with brown butter icing.

What else do we need? I might be able to contribute...

Jen, I'm going to do a meat/cheese/cracker plate, so if you could do a veggie plate with some kind of dip or hummus or the like (or something along those lines), that would be awesome.

Good. Bringing vegetables is against my religion.

Chris,

You'll be jealous to know that I made the cupcakes for my two sons' Halloween parties. I colored the topping orange and green and then swirled them.
