I'd like to personally thank all the GWAPA people who showed up this past
weekend to help out at Aquafest. It was a tremendous effort and everyone
pitched in to help make it a success. The talks, aquascaping demo, auction,
raffle - all of it wouldnt have been possible without your help. So - THANK YOU!

Mine do too! But, I'd like to echo what Ghazanfar said. We had a great turnout, and a lot of interest in GWAPA from folks at both the show and auction. We've had 2 new members join thus far, and several others promise to come to a meeting. There were lots of plants in the auction, so thanks to all everyone who brought items. The aquascaped tank seemed to really help promote some of those items.

Oh, and regarding that tank. GWAPA did very well on the raffle, more than doubling our expenses for that setup. Thanks to everyone who bought tickets, and participated in the demonstration itself by answering questions.

I had no idea what to expect going into this weekend. I had a great time. Everyone was very approachable and willing to answer questions they've probably been asked hundreds of times over the years. The fanboy in me is fully sated, and now that I know what these conventions are like, I'll make sure I spend some time behind the scenes at the next event.

And next year, you can bet I'll be adding some plants to the auction. Some of you could barely keep a straight face during the auction. I could almost see the dollar signs in your eyes.

Feet are sore. Eyes are half shut.
First thing I did when I got home was to stomp on the Anubias x Gasser
and took pictures to show Dave.

A ha! We'll all send you a bill for the difference in price you cost us. ;-)

Hey I also managed to score some really good deals.

I still dont think that the affinis is a low light plant.

Someone please explain why my idiot self put the 6 baby ancistrus into the 55 and the big ancistrus into the 20..

or why I put the Montezuma into the 55 instead of the 20.
