also include Emily from PVAS, to help at the auction. She's in a wheelchair so can do some other things for you. And her daughter Jamie would like to help. They have a lot of resources, and they can browbeat people to help out :P :P :P They can organize the lunch pickup at McDonalds. They are the treasurer, and have been in charge of money, and send checks to people for auction items. So they're a good resource. Good to include them; make them feel wanted :( Incidentally PVAS provides lunch for people working the auction.

Check with PVAS, they're running the auction. GWAPA is looking
to get some folks to help out during the auction. PVAS will tell us
what to do, and we'll do it.

From the very old auctions that I had attended, it was BETTER to have the kids in the morning as the afternoon usually started picking up steam/or slowing down at the end.

Yeah, and the runners are usually pretty efficient because there's no money handling mid-auction. Bidders have to cash out at the end.

Ideally, it would be good to get folks committed to 3 hr blocks so that
we know we'll have several folks committed throughout the day.

9-12

12-3

3-6

Don't be afraid to sign up to multiple blocks. Remember - clubs are run
by members just like you, who're volenteering their time and effort to help
the hobby and give back. Take this opportunity to give back.

I'll be there all day. If they want me to be a runner or recorder or whatever, I don't care.

You'll be in luck because you'll have the ability to have pizza if you get the auction meal option ;-)
