Good filter at good price

Post by ricoishere »

I have this on my 75G. Runs silently, and has not failed in 1 year. I just clean out every 4 months:

In addition: They have free shipping on orders over $75.00. I'll be ordering my bi-anual bottle of Excel. 2 more bottles, shipping if free!

I can grow any algae!

Sorry if I am getting this information out there late, but someone (can't find the OP) put Excel through analysis at a lab and they came out with 1.5% glutaraldehyde. I now use Metricide14 (2.6 glutaraldehyde) - sells for $17.99/gallon. Half dose Metricide14, or multiply however many ml you'd dose of excel by .58 for precision. http://www.dealmed.com/Products/Surface ... y-1-Gallon

Good information tug, thanks. I use Metricide too, didn't realize I was dosing almost twice the normal amount.
