Suitland Maryland Bog Tour Sign Up
If we could review, I have two questions.
Please correct me if I'm wrong here
The ranger said a fen is fed by ground water. A bog is fed by a stream.
Did he also say a fen has sphagum peat moss, and a bog has something- I cannot remember, how the flora is different in bogs and fens.
the ranger also said, the pitcher plant has two insects growing in the water, which preclude the growth of algae. One was a mosquito larvae and I forget the other insect.
thanks
