May Meeting

Post by halak »

I am hosting this month's meeting, and since I am the keeper of the GWAPA hardscape materials (stones and wood), every member will have a chance to rummage through and purchase what we have in stock. I will also order pizza. If you can bring drinks or dessert, please post it here.

I will be there. I'll bring some baked goods and whatever is growing in my tanks.

Meeting Saturday (May 18th) at 1PM
Viktor Gyorffy will host our May meeting on Saturday, May 18th at 1:00pm at his home in Gaithersburg, MD. Our talk this month will be a screening of Freshwater Illustrated’s new film, Hidden Rivers.

Freshwater Illustrated is a non-profit who’s mission is raising public awareness about the life, study, and conservation of freshwater ecosystems through immersive visual media and storytelling, and sharing imagery and stories with educators, conservation groups, and community audiences.

Ten years in the making, Hidden Rivers is Freshwaters Illustrated’s newest feature film that explores the rivers and streams of the Southern Appalachian region, North America’s most biologically rich waters. The film follows the work of conservation biologists and explorers throughout the region, and reveals both the beauty and vulnerability of these ecosystems.

We will also hold our regular monthly auction. Members and non-members are welcome!

Does anyone have extra pool filter sand? I don't want to buy a 50lb bag when I only need maybe 10lbs.
