What-cha bringing? - July mtg Food

Post by jweis »

The next mtg in Just over one week away.

Here is what we need food wise:

Soda pop (total of five 2-liter bottles, or equiv in cans)
Ice
Appetizers
Side dishes
Main dishes
Desserts

Every month I'll make sure we are set on utensils, napkins, and plates.

So, please post what you can bring to help with the feast. Some folks have a bit of a drive, and it is always nice to have a nice spread of food.

I'll make carrot cake and brownie cheescake. I'll also make a caprese salad (tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, basil and seasonings).

Arlene -

You don't have to make everything - I was going to bring my Peach and Cherry cobbler (two halves of the same dish) - if we need that third dessert I will bring it - else I'll watch the list to see what else is needed. Where is the meeting again - at the library??

Desserts are always popular and appreciated. I have faith that our group can devour both a peach and cherry cobbler AND a carrot cake and brownie cheescake!

And whatever isn't eaten will be greatly appreciated at the after party. I would love to have the peach and cherry cobbler. Haven't had a cobbler in a long time!

Also, the meeting doesn't start until 130, but if you are bringing food, you can show up at the Nature Center at 100 because I will have the keys to open up the place and set up at 1.

Is there a microwave or oven available at the Nature Center?

I believe there is one. If not, I live less than five minutes from the nature center. We can always warm it up at the house and bring it back to the center.

I'll bring some soda and ice if I make it, I will let you know by Friday night if I'm not going to come.
Sincerely,

I'm going to bring Moctezuma pie (chicken). Arlene, can you check on the oven situation at the nature center? If they don't have one, I'll stop by your place first.
