December Holiday Meeting

Post by 150EH »

Someone has always started a thread to ask, who's comming, should I bring something, any many other questions so I've been waiting to see what's up from reading the comments from the members who have been here a long time, but nothing has appeared.

So, John Godbey will host our holiday potluck at his home in Springfield, VA on Sunday, December 4th at 1:00pm. We will also announce the 2011 GWAPA board at this meeting. Do we need to bring a dish or anything else, I have never attended a GWAPA holiday potluck (dinner/lunch/snack) so I don't know what to expect, can someone help a newbie?
Sincerely,
Tim

Great minds think alike. I was just wondering what I should plan on bringing. A side, desert, something else?

Bring whatever you would like to bring; post it here so others will know and not duplicate your dish.

I discovered the big Costco size pack of forks did not make it into the gray bin before John took it from the Sept mtg, so I will be sure to bring them.

I will bring a homemade cheese log and crackers.

Pumpkin Orange Chiffon Pie just jumped into my mind. And I've already made pies for Thanksgiving, so the December meeting will give me an excuse to make it.

I'll bring 1 Charbroiled chicken and a red beans and rice dish.

We'll need soda and beer. That's if it's okay to have alcohol at John's.

I'll make and bring the bean dish I brought to the first meeting I attended at Viktor's house. It's a three bean salad, with a mild jalapeno spice and frito scoops.

I was thinking of making a tower for red velvet cupcakes, and my famous pumpkin cake with brown butter icing. And I've been dying to make a crouquembouche, but only if I have time :D
