Post by John G »

In additioin to all of the food listed in the other topic...What plants are you bringing for the auction? I'm thinking of completely re-planting my 55 gal wonder what interesting things will be available.

I'll try to bring some Eleocharis "belem" ( a small amount since it is difficult to take out without ruining the scape), and some Elantine Americana.
I will probably take a trimming tour of the tanks and find more plants to bring...

I've been meaning to trim the 75g and 90g, as they are getting overgrown, but we won't be going to the meeting. If one of the Catonsville crew is going, and would be willing to bring some bags on my behalf, I could probably send the following:

Hygrophila (or is it Staurogyne?) sp. 'Bihar' (this thing is not just a stem plant in my 90g, it's a bloody shrub! Cool leaf shapes and colors, though)
Hygrophila difformis
Najas Guadalupensis (guppy grass)
Cryptocoryne spiralis
C. Moehlmanii (or possibly Pontederiifolia, I can't tell the two apart)
Eleocharis acicularis
E. vivipara
Ludwigia repens
L. arcuata

Edit:
Oh, we also have a few baby Ozelot swords that are growing off that emersed-grown Ozelot we picked up at Aquafest.

Rather than repeatedly spell out "Cryptocoryne" or "Eleocharis" when listing numerous species within a genus, it is common/traditional to abbreviate the genus after the first occurrence, so Cryptocoryne becomes C. and Eleocharis become E., etc.

Chris
