Rob;
Thanks for hosting. Sorry I missed Jeff's presentation but the auction and the company was great as usual.
Doug's crays have settled in nicely and hopefully I can add to the population in the future if he or Dave start thinning. Of course in Dave's tank he might have a hundred or so before he realizes they are breeding.
Sean, I was so wrapped up talking Red Sox I forgot to ask; You going to ECS this year. I have to beg off because of work and Ghazanfar hasn't decided yet.
Cheers.
Jim

I was thinking I could just set the 75 on the floor on top of a piece of foam core board....... That would save a few inches right there.....ingg wrote:That would be one tall stand!
4" base, say 27" height for 75g at least, gotta fit your arm in above the tank after all, another 6" for top rail, 125 is what, 22" tall?
I know I am not the tallest fellow around, but I think that setup would out the lip of the 125 above my shoulder, or at it at least.

You would need to make sure that the floor was level Sherry before you did that. I would think that the two or three inches that would be necessary to put a solid part of the stand under it would be more beneficial. It would also add strength to the structure of the entire design. I was also thinking that with the foot of space on either side of the 75 you could box them in and add trim to make it more attractive. Possibly make one or both sides a hinge to allow you to access the space for filters and storage. Not sure how decorative you were looking to go as opposed to just user friendly

Would it be possible to post it in the Articles section. I'm sure I'll want to refer to it one day and forget where it is.We now have an article online from Jeff's fertilizers presentation. If you missed the meeting, or just wanted to review what he talked about, you can find it here: http://gwapa.org/articles/dosing/

Hmm, interesting. That little bit of space could house a nice canister filter on one side, and the CO2 tank on the other..... I didn't even consider where the peripherals would go... I don't have to have it completely decorated to the hilt, but I was thinking of stain/sealer for a little color. My husband can build it if I can design it.... I'm liking that idea a lot....Ltrepeter2000 wrote: I was also thinking that with the foot of space on either side of the 75 you could box them in and add trim to make it more attractive. I also had a wonderful time last Saturday. I've done all the reading on ferts, but it was nice to have it detailed out to get it straight in my head. Thank Jeff!
Doug, thank you so much for the plants. I went home and planted them in my 5 gal. Now I"m impatiently waiting for them to grow!!!!!
Jim, was great to meet you. Now, if I could remember your last name, Bill and Jean Leatherwood would know who I'm talking about!
Cavan, enjoyed your spin on the auction.
