Re: Sept Mtg Food and Misc thread
I'm modestly confident I can make it. It's been months since I've been able to attend a GWAPA meeting.

Ha! Sure!jweis wrote:Great! Since the photography speaker isn't able to make it, I fully expect you to give me some aquarium photography tips. I bought this great camera, but my pictures still are dismal. I should also have you autography my aquarium book with your photographs (insert, I am beyond impressed emoticon here).Jeff120 wrote:I plan to be there!

Now we are getting somewhere! So far, I have 16 members that have RSVP'd that they are coming. Several are bringing spouses and/or kids.
I have plenty of room to accomodate a big crowd, so I hope even more people can attend. Looks like there will be nice weather, good food, and great people.

I'll make sure to bring my family as well. Please add 4 to list.
Re: Sept Mtg Food and Misc thread
Now we are up to 20 members (with many bringing families), including three newbies to our group, which is always great to see.
The basement and the yard are ready for the kiddos. My tanks received a final trim last night. Tomorrow I will make the burrito meat and the salsa.
If you haven't RSVP'd there is still plenty of time.

All, there is a minor (but important) mistake on the home page for directions to my house from Baltimore/points East. I live WEST of Baltimore. My house is South of Frederick MD. Please see directions below.
Also, there will be plenty of parking if people who park in the round part of the cul-de-sac to "nose" their cars in (vs parking parallel to the grass). This will allow room for more cars.
From Baltimore or points east:
• Head WEST on I-70
• Take exit 68 for MD-27 S 0.3 mi
• Turn left onto MD-27 S/Ridge Rd 3.6 mi
• Turn right onto MD-80 W/Kemptown Rd 7.4 mi
• Turn left onto Big Woods Rd 1.4 mi
• Turn left on Big Woods Court: 9801 is first house on the left (gray house with red shutters with cow mailbox)
From 495:
• Head North on I-270 N toward Exit 6 20 mi
• Take the exit toward MD-109 N/Old Hundred Rd 0.2 mi
• Turn left onto MD-109 N/Old Hundred Rd 0.4 mi
• Turn left onto MD-355 N/N Frederick Rd 2.6 mi
• Turn right onto Big Woods Rd 0.9 mi
• Turn right on first road after bridge. Big Woods Court: 9801 is first house on the left (gray house with red shutters with cow mailbox)

Re: Sept Mtg Food and Misc thread
Julie I plan on riding the bike as the weather channel has predicted 83 degrees and clear sky, I'm not sure what I can bring other than soda, ice, or water, please let me know what would help?
Sincerely,
Tim
