CCA Holiday Party...

Post by krisw »

In case anyone isn't in Captial Cichlid Association, or missed this at the last meeting, GWAPA members are invited to the CCA Holiday Party this Saturday at Francine's house. It is a pot-luck, so bring a dish:
Don't forget that this Saturday is our December holiday party. It will be at Francines house at 2pm.
If you need an address, please email me.
All CCA members are invited as well as GWAPA and PVAS.

Francine has posted a list on the forum as to what foods are coming at this time. I have pasted it on the bottom. Decide what you want to bring and visit the forum and let us know.

Don't forget to bring a gift if you want to participate in the exchange.

See you Saturday at 2.

Ok that's fantastic. I'm supposed to meet Mike to trade kilifish, so it's back to Francine's house I guess...Seeing as how I'm slowing converting to cichlids: two discus, that spawn every 10 days, and two a. agissizi-really beautiful, and two albino kribs, a really under-rated fun-filled fish. the female is always flirting with the male. All in one 55 gallon tank.
the discus had been rather quiescent breeders, until they finally got a few babies to hatch and now they are getting kinda hostile. My only wish is for the apistos tomake peace and do some spawining...to be continued
A female krib courting is truly spectacular.

Kris, is there an auction?
do they want frogbit or maybe prefer your red-root floater?

Mark, I don't remember if there's an auction. I'm thinking that this is just a social get together to eat and talk about all things aquaria, but I could be wrong. Francine, will there be an auction?

As far as floaters go, I think cichlid folks like any plant that will float and give shade. I imagine it's immaterial in most case as they become fish food eventually. ;-)
