Overall the cost / lb of rock is fairly reasonable. You may even think its cheap.

Sounds like I need to run home and get my fingers on 5% before it disappears. Especially as I plan to change out several of my tanks almost entirely when I get back from Atlanta.

Bring some samples to the December 2nd meeting if you have it all by then.

Think you inspired Ricky to have one sent to Dallas as well. Maybe a GWAPA vs DFWAPC rockscape battle could be in the works??

bring it... :D

Seriously though, something like that could be fun. Who would judge though? Perhaps a 3rd party club of some sort; one close enough to GWAPA that we could pay them off...err...i mean...

Does that battle prevent the Pro's from bringing their might to bear for DFWAPC. If it doesnt we better use the rocks to throw at their aquariums so they cant add water.

IMO it really is good stuff. Otherwise I wouldn't go through the hassle
of getting more than a ton of rock shipped from one coast to the other.
I've been scouring rock yards within a 100 mile radius of here, and havent
seen anything like this before. Amanoesqe rock. Fairly dense, dark grey.
Its got a large number of pores in in - 1cm - 1/4 cm in size. Looks
to be volcanic in nature though its nothing like lava rock. Jay's got a couple of pictures of it. Maybe he'll post it up here.

Not doubting the rock and after going to some of the same rock yards around here you must have been "souring" them because there isnt much worth using. Sorry I am in a fairly sarcastic mood today.
