Going to pick a new ammonia kit today. I don't trust the one I have. It says "hell no!" Where is a good source for the amanoes and big nerites?

Have you been doing weekly water changes? Scales usually has nerites, sometimes they have amanos. Id add some ottos to that clean up crew as well.

You may still need to wait a few weeks. Are you still seeing a lot of tannins? I usually add fauna after the tannins clear up. About a month with regular water changes.

I have no tannins 'cos there's no wood. I too think it's too early for fish of any kind. I'll wait... :roll:
