Re: Into Carnivorous Plants?

I still have my pitcher plant alive and well from a carnivorous plants thing with GWAPA several years ago. Can't believe it has hung on all this time!

Re: May Joint Meeting

I get more color starving a tank of nitrates than not.

Good lighting always helps too.

Re: February Meeting

And until that fellow from Texas can show you flowers that differentiate, take anything he says with a grain of salt... if you want to give the grain of salt even. Growth patterns mean dooky. Seriously. As much as I hate to say it (and those that know me *know* I hate to say it), the only way you ar...

Re: Bubble counters query

Can't really show a pic, I am cheating - diffusor stuck into the intake in the overflow.

Essentially, put a diffusor in right where the loop for CO2 intakes, and it takes in tiny little bubbles instead of full size bubbles that need ot get broken down in the reactor.

Re: Bubble counters query

No, this is another tank unfortunantly. I stopped posting pics of my Dutch tank for the contest sake. I haven't decided on the light for the 100gal yet. Catalina's bulbs only go up to 59" and they would have to be staggered to reach each end. Side by side 3' fixtures. It is what I do over my 1...

Re: Bubble counters query

Francine, What you linked goes on the side of your tank inline in the CO2 tubing. Put a little liquid in it, and it counts bubbles as they pass inline and over the edge to a diffusor. second part is just a fancy way to send the line over the edge of a rimless tank. It will work fine. Can buy more ec...

Doing the same thing in text replies to messages in IE. Once you go beyond the space of the box, it does this hyperactive child looking hop up and down... shoing you the beginning when not actively typing, hopping down to word as you type, then up, then down..... Side note, very very bright now. May...
