Re: Sept Mtg Food and Misc thread
Julie,
If no one has covered the guacamole we'll bring that as well as a fruit platter. We'll be three (2 adults and one kid). Let us know if the guac is already covered - in which case we'll think of something else.

Re: Anubias Flower - Now What?
I was away on business this week - I think I missed the "peak" bloom of the second flower. Here's a picture of the flowers as they currently are.

Re: Anubias Flower - Now What?
Thanks for the replies. I'll take another picture when (if?) the second flower emerges; hopefully they'll be blooming (?) concurrent with each other.

Anubias Flower - Now What?
It appears that my anubias has produced one flower with another on the way. My question is, what happens next? Does the flower wilt and then I trim it off? Any advice for the newbie?
Thanks,
Jim

Re: Mayaca Fluviatilis - Mid Stem Algae
Hmmm.... so I can discard the lower sections, replant the upper sections, and 2 months from now be in the same situation (all things being equal). Well that's discouraging. As far as flow is concerned I think I have a sufficient amount judging by the way the plants are moving in the tank. Algae - th...

Re: Goodbye Ludwigia Glandulosa?
I'll bring them Saturday and if no one wants to take a shot at reviving them, it's off to the incinerator.

Goodbye Ludwigia Glandulosa?
I have 8 or so stems of this plant. About half of those stems (located where the lighting is of highest intensity) are growing passably well. The other stems (located where they don't receive as much light) are looking pretty poor (see the picture - the foreground stems are the ones in question). Ad...

Mayaca Fluviatilis - Mid Stem Algae
I have several stems of this plant that are now 18"-24" (maybe longer!). While the upper segments are happily growing across the top of my tank, the lower sections seem to be attracting quite a bit of algae (see the picture below). I'm guessing that I shouldn't be letting it grow quite so ...
