I have it too. Amamo shrimp will eat it if you put enough of them in the tank. I have gotten it out of one tank, but it stubbornly stays in the other tank. It likes to get in the bolbitis. Im at the point where i am considering tearing down the tank.

I bought a Finnex from amazon and it is very bright and nice. I bought a open box unit and saved even more money that way.

I have gold barbs in one of my tanks and while I suspect they are keeping my cherry shrimp population under control, I haven't noticed any damage to my plants.
