Re: Curious glass question...
Ok, of course this is a total car geek ponderance... has anyone ever used Rain-X or an equivalent product on the outside of their tank? I'm wondering if it would help minimize the water spots that I seem to be cleaning off every time I turn around. Theoretically it should, as it would cause the wat...

This is really impressive, Greg! So much so, that I think you ought to consider entering some of your photos in the Olympus BioScapes International Digital Imaging Competition. The deadline is Sept 30th. http://www.olympusbioscapes.com/ I like the first photo the best, but both are really interesti...

I've got frozen rotifers. Have you had success rearing fry with frozen rotifers? I haven't tried it before. I usually like to gut load them with some tetraselmis/nannochloropsis /chlamydomonas first to make them a little bit more nutritious, but that's just overkill from trying to get tricky marine...
Heh, I sense some sarcasm. *grabs his single cell mouth pipettor and heads for the dissecting scope... But seriously, if anyone has any going now, I was hoping to keep a batch of Corydoras adolfoi alive that should be hatching any day now... I was given two a couple months ago and lucked out and got...

Looking good. That HC carpet has filled in nicely for you! Thanks! This is my 2nd (or 4th depending on how you look at it) attempt at growing an H. callitrichoides lawn. I've tried on two tanks, this 10 gallon back in 2006: http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c16/n0otro/IMG_2361.jpg and the current 2...

i'd like to reaffirm what everybody has already said here, the only *major* problem that i see here ( there Are plenty of things you could tweak), is the lack of a pressurized CO2 system. if you didnt make ANY other adjustments/upgrades to the tank, a consistent pressurized CO2 setup is a MUST in a ...
