Re: Snail control or eater?

You could try to go in between the small loaches and clowns loaches with something like a yoyo loach or zebra loach. They don't get too big, but they are certainly big enough for the angels not to pick on or eat. A group should put a good dent into the snail population. What i'm not sure about is wh...

Re: SAE? Flying Fox? False SAE?

The first pic, which appears more focused, especially looks like an SAE. How far the black line goes to the back to the caudal fin looks right, also the color and the scales. I'm far from an expert though.

Re: Id this shrimp

I have no expertise on shrimp whatsoever, but it looks a little like the last one on this page.

Re: Substrates

Thanks. That does help. It seems the Brightwell might be the better option for growing plants. Its hard going back to eco or flourite after using AS.

Substrates

Hi everyone Just getting back into planting and aquascaping again. Pesky life events got into the way of hobby before. Quick question about substrates. I noticed that ADA aquasoil is now $65 a 9l bag. I read a little background on another forums about ADG not carrying, etc. The local store around me...

I had a great time and so did my son! I barely saw him for more than 10 minutes and he talked about how much fun he had on the way home. Now he thinks he can see Julie's youngest anytime he wants...great (sighs)! My Stiphs are so happy and they are munching away on the algae the minute they hit the...

As the supplier of said plant, it was definitely labelled glosso when I bought it at a local aquarium store. I wonder how often this stuff actually gets mislabeled. Here's a link, i have to say unfortunately its probably HM based on this picture and the feedback from everyone. Sorry Sam. http://www....

I think for planted tank purposes two nanos would work for a large tank (a nano is still somewhere in the 250 gph range). While its really good for circulation, we don't really need the serious gph the reefers do, so smaller pumps more spread out I think is the better answer for planted tanks.
