Thanks Aaron, that what I was thinking too.

Sean, I opened it up. There are two ballasts.

I might just end up using a single 55w bulb.

I have this Corallife fixture: http://www.marineandreef.com/Aqualight_Compact_Fluorescent_2X65W_24_Coralife_p/res53102.htm on my 20L tank. It came with two 65w 6700k CFLs and I used one bulb at a time and now the bulbs are at the end of their life. I am thinking of replacing the 65w bulbs with lower...
