I didn't bring a cooler, no way to fit one in the car. That's also why they weren't up front with us--no room. Although if I had known we were going to get stuck on the way home I would have held them in my lap or something...

I'm planning to bring some baby Apisto cacatuides triple red. Not sure how many--any ideas on a good number for the bag? I think they're still a bit too young for me to sex.

I always mix cold and hot water to the appropriate temperature for the tank. I do let the hot water run for a minute or so to flush out some of the water that's been sitting in the pipes, though, before I start filling. Haven't had a problem yet!
