You seem to have plenty of sun...have you considered a solar panel instead of running an A/C line? IF you decide you need power, that is.

Why not cut it yerself? This *is* the DIY corner, afterall...:) A glass cutter only costs a couple of bucks...I'm *assuming* that it's not heavily tempered glass for lids?? Smoothing edges is also DIY pretty easily via methods ranging from emery cloth to a grinder purchased from a stained glass supp...
